FML

I just got back from my acting class, which was, as always, awesome.
We had little "contentless" scenes - barely one page scripts with meaningless lines (we are expected to assign meaning) - and my duo did the best! Me and another guy from my class were paired up, and our scene was great! (according to my professor.)

And now here it comes:
Nathan Gabriel, my amazing acting teacher... is married.
There goes my chance of ever hooking up with him in the next 4 years.
Fuck My Life.

I have decided that, even though Liz is a pain in the ass, and she is turning into more of a follower than a friend of mine (I don't know why that always happens with annoying people, but it does), she is still a decent person. She is a loud, self-centered, neurotic know-it-all, but at least she tries to chill whenever I remind her that she's being crazy.

In a bit, I have to go to chemistry, then after the recitation and lecture are over, I am free for the rest of the day (and I have a lot of work, so that is something to look forward to - free time to get stuff done).

If there's anything noteworthy, I will add it later.

It is now 2:11PM
Went to lunch with Liz after turning down an invite to go with Mike. Worst part, ran into him in the dining hall.
Then he invited me to go swing dancing at Mitten Hall tonight (apparently that's what's going on tonight)... I really want to learn to swing dance, but I think that going with Mike would send the wrong message... I am always worrying about that with him... I don't want some tiny misunderstanding to feed a futile hope of his that I will fall for him. So I turned him down.

*Sidenote - a couple of days ago, he told me he was busy on 9-9-09 because it is revolution 909 or something, and he was going to celebrate... he was planning on ditching that to take me swing dancing. What a sweet guy.*

A post on my clan's forums reminded me of an interesting hobby that I thought I might take up.
Parkour: the art of moving as quickly as possible from point A to point B. It seems like it would be challenging, but fun. I think it might be a way to get into better shape and have fun doing it. I might find somewhere secluded in the city to try it out, and if I am capable of starting some basic stuff, I might actually try it seriously...
that is, if I am even capable of attempting this stuff...

I've chopped off the tips of my beautiful long nails. First step towards starting parkour. (long nails + climbing walls and other such rough-and-tumble activities = broken nails)
I'm doing some research, and the American Parkour website suggests being able to do 50 bodyweight squats, 25 pushups, and 5 pull ups before starting parkour activities.
So that is my first goal.

By the way, I just made a short list of my favorite books of all time, and I don't want to forget it, so I am writing it here.

1)Ender's Game Quartet - Orson Scott Card
2)Remembering Hypatia - Brian Trent
3)Coma - Robin Cook

  1. I've always wanted to parkour, it seems like a really good time. I just wish there was somewhere awesome to do it like in Russia. that's something you should really get into.

My mother and I did more hiking in the reservoir across the street, it's really an amazing place. I'd love to take you some time.
